What We Do

We Are Family uses a unique and effective model in serving our seniors. Those most in need often do not know about assistance that is available, or may have a difficult time accessing those resources. As such, it is critical to build a bridge between those in need, the services, and the caring community that stands behind them. We Are Family creates that bridge, mobilizing volunteers to bring resources and friendship directly to seniors, helping them to continue living independently in their own homes. We Are Family works to meet our seniors’ basic needs, while also nurturing relationships, including between newer arrivals and long-time residents. These connections help to ground our advocacy, ensuring that our seniors are taken care of and able to remain an active, vital, and valued part of the community.
