Volunteer

We Are Family relies heavily on our dedicated volunteers. Currently we only have one paid staff member, so we couldn't do it without their support. If you are interested in getting involved please contact us.

We meet twice a month to assemble and deliver grocery bags to seniors in the Shaw/North Capitol neighborhoods as well as the Petworth/Columbia Heights neighborhoods. We encourage indivuduals or small groups to drop in to any of those sessions. To see what coming up, check out our calendar.

If you have a group of 5-25 people who would like to join us please get in touch with us and we will glady find a time where we can work with you to maximize your time and impact. If your group is larger than 25 we may ask that you split your time between two days.

We have many volunteer opportunities coming up! Please let us know if you would like to help out.
